Article: Smoke inhalation is cause of 2 deaths ; Autopsies completed in apartment fire

Ofelia Santoyo went to the airport Friday in Waco, Texas, to pick up her son. When she couldn't find Joe, she asked if the plane was delayed.

"They told me no. The airplane had already landed," she said Monday.

Santoyo, 75, kept looking for her son before leaving briefly for laundry -- to wash blankets and a comforter for Joe's bed when he visited. Then she went back to the airport.

"I called his cell phone but got no answer," she said. "I was very nervous all day. I didn't know what happened to him. I was hoping and praying that nothing wrong happened to him."

Joe Santoyo, 52, had died three days earlier in an arson apartment fire in Colorado Springs.
