GETTING THERE: Asbury Park is about 210 miles, or four hours by
car, from the Beltway. Take I-95 north to the New Jersey Turnpike;
take Exit 7A to I-195 east and pick up Route 18 north. Exit at Route
66 east.

Convention Hall around Seventh Avenue, and there's a gay beach at
Fifth Avenue. Daily badges are $4, for all beachgoers.
THE MUSIC SCENE: The Stone Pony (Ocean and Second avenues) remains
