Light up for longer A new survey by Which? consumer magazine
shows that cheap lightbulbs often outperform their costly
competitors. In the survey, Sainsbury's GU10 halogen spotlight (the
one most people use) in the Basics range, which costs Pounds 1.97,
lasts more than its estimated 2,000 hours and so is a best-buy.
In tests of regular bulbs, General Electric's Classic came in top
of the class, at 39p. However, despite being cheap, regular
lightbulbs waste energy, so go for a longlife bulb if you can. For
