Terry Madden intends to resign as chief executive officer of the
U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, and he'll be succeeded by Travis Tygart,
the agency's senior managing director and general counsel.
World Anti-Doping Agency director general David Howman said
Tuesday night that Madden will leave the Colorado Springs-based
USADA because he has "done what he set out to do" since helping
start the organization in 2000.
Madden, 55, wants to spend more time with his wife and three
children, said Jim Scherr, CEO of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Scherr
said the USADA board of directors selected Tygart as Madden's
successor.
