NEW ORLEANS While Tony Eason is trying to block out the media
blitz, Steve Grogan is plagued by a different Super Bowl worry.
"You wait so long for this," said Grogan, New England's backup
quarterback who led the Patriots to six straight victories after they
stood at a 2-3 crossroads last fall.
"After 11 years, to come down here and think about not getting
on the field - even to think about it - is discouraging."
Grogan, who appears to be no more than excess baggage on the
Pats' voyage to the Super Bowl, has the understanding and respect of
his teammates.
"You have to feel compassion for him," wide receiver Stanley
