Article: Prohibition-era Cohasset Punch to fall for W. Madison skyscraper

They'll be lifting toasts of Cohasset Punch and maybe shedding a few tears today at the 52nd and final St. Patrick's Day to be celebrated at the 1930s-style saloon at 207 W. Madison.

Named Cohasset Punch for its mysterious and lethal signature beverage, the bar and restaurant will close March 29 to make way for a skyscraper. It's a tough loss for the regulars - the brokers and traders, sports and business people who mixed every day at the long bar and ordered reasonably priced food from the capable kitchen.

This place was the real "ultimate" sports bar. Every Chicago sports argument must have been raised at Cohasset Punch, and a lot of them were settled from the stack of reference ...
