Dunaway on the world's oldest profession and "Beverly Hills Madam":
"Everyone is interested in hookers," the actress says. "They are
a challenge to play for many reasons. Most men and women really
don't know what makes them tick or why they become hookers.
"(Prostitution) can't be easy for a woman emotionally. Money
probably is the major reason why whores go into the business. But it
also gives hookers a kind of power, of being in control of a
situation - and a man - and never being vulnerable.
"My research very clearly indicates women don't get into
prostitution for the enjoyment of sex. Lil (the madam of `Beverly
Hills') is an ex-hooker who is determined never to be emotionally ...
