Article: A behind-the-scenes look at Samuel Beckett

Barney Rosset, head of Grove Press in New York, has been Samuel Beckett's American publisher and friend since the early 1950s. With the exception of the late director, Alan Schneider, he probably has been closer to the playwright than anyone on this side of the Atlantic. Last week in New York, Rosset (who was raised in Chicago and is a graduate of Francis Parker) tried to draw a portrait of the man.
