This is what you would call a "gut" issue. I speak, of course,
about the venerable hot dog and the hot dog capital of the civilized
world: Chicago.
According to "Red Hot Chicago," airing from 9 to 9:30 tonight on
WTTW-Channel 11, there are an estimated 3,000 purveyors of hot dogs
throughout the city.
And for every vendor, every mom-and-pop operation, every
restaurant chain that offers the tender, tasty, slender tube steaks,
there is a different philosophy about how to prepare them and eat
them.
