Perhaps it would have been different if the White Sox hadn't
traded LaMarr Hoyt.
Perhaps the separation from his wife, two arrests and admission
into a substance abuse center never would have happened.
"I think I would have liked to have stayed (with the Sox) as far
as everything that's happened," Hoyt said. "I was pretty stable
here."
Perhaps.
Perhaps the latest traumas are more splotches of paint on an
abstract portrait that began to take form when Hoyt was 6 months
old.
At that point Hoyt's parents separated and Hoyt's mother
"kidnapped" Hoyt and took him to Santa Barbera, Calif., from
