Many cooks look to the weekend as a time of escape from the kitchen.
After all, weekends are leisure time. It may seem strange that
someone would actually opt to spend time at the stove, but think
about it.
The weekend is a perfect time to venture into the kitchen for
the simple pleasure of cooking. There's not the frantic,
last-minute pressure to get a meal on the table, you're not exhausted
from having worked a full day, and if you're lucky, you might even
have the kitchen all to yourself. Try a new recipe, experiment, or
stock the freeezer with a casserole, soup, muffins or pasta sauce to
get a running start on meals for the upcoming week.
