Article: Pulpit outlook good for evangelical graduates

Ministerial graduates of evangelical seminaries are having an
easier time finding pulpits than their counterparts at divinity
schools of mainline churches, but nearly all will land jobs, a survey
of area theology schools shows.
Placement success this spring is good news because the Chicago
area boasts 14 major centers of theological training with more than
3,900 students, the nation's highest concentration.
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield is by far the
largest institution, with 170 people seeking pastoral placement,
President Kenneth M. Meyer said. Ninty-six percent should find jobs,
he said.
