If Father's Day dawns hot and muggy, children's hopes for making a special gift dessert don't have to wilt with the weather. These three chocolate treats were devised by Hershey's with cool kitchens and young cooks in mind. CHOCOLATE SURPRISES

1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened

3 tablespoons light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups confectioners' sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa

Nuts or pieces of dried fruits

With a mixer, cream butter or margarine, corn syrup and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in part of the confectioners' sugar and cocoa; with hands, mix in remainder to form firm mixture. Shape a rounded teaspoonful around nut or piece of fruit, ...
