Any way you slice it, cheesecake seems to be a sweet treat that
people love. Readers' response to my June 6 column on cheesecake
brought out the cream of the crop.
This week's winner of a dinner for two at the Sabre Room, 8900
W. 95th St. in Hickory Hills, is Jean Przeniczny of Chicago.
Excerpts from her letter and others follow.
I give praise to the Cheesecake Ladies at 2207 W. Belmont
(472-3800) for putting out the most delicious cheesecakes. One,
especially, called hazelnut frangelico, is a heavenly, creamy
chocolate with plenty of good taste. The praline cheesecake is
another outstanding cake that is full of pecans, and oh so good.
