Gary DeVar was talking. That was the first thing he had going for
him. And, even better, he didn't have his face painted to look like
a lobotomized anemic.
It was a relief, and somewhat of an occasion, to be conversing
with a mime like this, naked in a sense. Maybe if more mimes tried
it, more people would like them. Tell the truth: Who doesn't hate
mimes?
DeVar knows how the masses feel about mimes. He saw the
"Saturday Night Live" skit where Robin Williams killed the mime and
became a hero. He says, to be honest, he understands why a lot of
people don't like mimes.
