For Phil Esposito, it is a sweet move.

And a suite move.

The former Black Hawk, New York Ranger and Boston Bruin Hall of Fame center is moving from the television broadcast booth to the executive suite.

The Rangers yesterday named him vice president and general manager to replace Craig Patrick, whose contract was not renewed after six years.

Esposito, 44, who has been serving as the color commentator on Ranger games, signed a three-year contract.
