People always are trying to canonize Diana Ditka.
"These women will come up to me and say, `You must be a saint to
live with him,' " says the 43-year-old wife of the Chicago Bears head
coach.
But she doesn't see it that way at all. Other people's ideas of
their life together don't matter much to this sharp lady with the
easy laugh. After 15 years with "Iron Mike" - nine of them as his
wife - she's polished her own steel.
With her husband's success, she's found herself a sort of
second-string celebrity. Thing is, celebrity doesn't impress Diana
Ditka. Never has. That makes it a lot easier these days to be
married to the man whose bulldog mug more than rivals those of the
big-money ...
