The singing barber from Pennsylvania is nearly 75 now, with a
career and a marriage that have marked golden anniversaries. After
all these years, silver-haired Perry Como still projects the image of
a relaxed and happy man.
"I feel fine," he said last week from his home in Jupiter, Fla.
"I drink a little, eat a little, sleep a lot. But I'm an early
riser. I cut hair and sing a bit. . . . My voice doesn't sound any
different."
Because Como sings only "a bit" these days, he has trimmed his
television schedule to just one annual performance, his Christmas
show. ABC will present his 33rd holiday program, "Perry Como's
Christmas in San Antonio," at 9 p.m. Saturday on WLS-Channel 7. "It
