Article: Box savers hoard now so they can gloat later

For the box savers of the world, this is the real Christmas.

This is the day when they scoop up every empty box they can get their hands on and stack them inside one another like Russian dolls.

Then they take them to a closet somewhere and arrange them by size and wait for the non-box savers of the world to grovel.

I have not seen my mother so happy since my first child was born and she said, "Now you'll know how I suffered."

This year was a big year for her. She gave away 15 shirt boxes, three suit boxes, two necktie boxes, three small jewelry boxes and an ugly brown carton with tomato sauce stamped on the side.
