Article: The unkindest cut of all? // Reader makes point: Mail-order `food processor' comes disguised as a knife

It's me, the guy who wrote about the food processor I ordered from a New York company. The cost was $9.95 and the product delivered - now get this - was a knife. That's right, just a knife, though admittedly an odd-shaped one.

There must have been a mistake, I thought, so I groused to Action Time. That's when National Communications Corp. wrote back to verify there had been no mistake: the knife was indeed the processor.

Two weeks later, National wrote again. This time, I was told I would have to return the item before a refund could be mailed. Gee, as if I didn't know that!

You bet I returned this so-called food processor, but National hasn't cut a check yet. Can you help again? ...
