Article: Halt scattered-site CHA housing, Hynes says

Mayoral candidate Thomas C. Hynes, trying to keep the operation of the CHA a campaign issue, yesterday said the agency should not put more scattered-site public housing in residential neighborhoods.

Hynes, a third-party candidate in the April 7 election, acknowledged that he has not been in a Chicago Housing Authority development "for a few years" and said he did not consult with any CHA residents in crafting his 10-point plan to improve the agency.
