So, you're going to the big, 79th Chicago Auto Show.
You certainly won't be alone. Nearly 1 million visitors are
expected at the show, which opened Saturday and continues through
next Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The exposition is by far the country's largest auto show. It is
sponsored by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA),
composed of approximately 700 area new-car dealers.
The dealers - and the world's biggest automakers - know the show
has lots of clout. Vehicle producers long have used it to display
new models and to judge reaction to cars they are considering for
production.
The event is worth seeing if you're shopping for a new car.
