Article: Draft will be tough to pick

The college draft might be three months off, but most NBA scouts and executives probably could use three more years to determine who to pick where. Consider this: player of the year David Robinson might not even be able to play next season while Steve Alford, Indiana's consensus All-America guard, could be a second-round pick.

As NBA superscout Marty Blake has become fond of saying, "Other than David Robinson, Reggie Williams and Kenny Smith, you could take your pick on the rest of them."

That will be the problem.

Unless Kansas' Danny Manning comes out as an undergraduate - and probably not even then - Navy's Robinson will be the first player
