The Higgins cartoon on "the first surrogate mother" offended
some of us who regard the conception of Jesus of Nazareth as a unique
event. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, represents humanity in a receptive
disposition to receive the limitless love of God and give it flesh.
However, your cartoon metaphor makes the Christian Feast of Christmas
to surrogate motherhood what an insensitive demographer would make
the Holocaust in Nazi Germany to eugenic population control.
What are you trying to convey?
If you are trying to mock the Catholic Church in its attempt to
emphasize the sanctity of marriage, you have succeeded. If you
