Dare we call it a double feature?
In any case, what Chamber Music Chicago offered for our delight
in the Civic Theatre last night was not one major chamber music
ensemble, but, for a single admission price, two stellar attractions,
each group playing a work by itself and then joining the other in new
and unexpected configurations.
It was a great idea, rough on the budget but wonderful for the
subscribers.
