The stringer laden with reader responses from my March 27 column
on favorite places for a fish sandwich leaves little doubt that this
fish story is not a bit exaggerated.
Winner of a dinner for two at Athens Crystal Palace, 700 S.
Wabash, is Jo Heringslack of Homewood. She also receives an

You ain't seen nothin' till you've had a fish sandwich at Cal's
Roast Beef, 18262 Dixie Hwy., Homewood (957-9828) - two thick fillets
of lightly battered, moist, golden brown cod on a sesame seed bun.
The fillets are so big they hang over the bun, and so thick you can
hardly get your mouth around them. ...
