Article: Fanfani forms Italy's 46th postwar government

ROME (AP) Premier-designate Amintore Fanfani reported to Italy's president last night he had succeeded in forming a government, one that is expected to oversee early elections in June.

Fanfani, 79, a Christian Democrat who is president of the Senate, was expected to present his list of Cabinet ministers to President Francesco Cossiga today.

The composition of Italy's 46th postwar government was not immediately known. However, politicians said it was apparently a minority government composed of Christian Democrats.
