Article: The firing of Al Campanis won't solve one thing

Iam encouraging all African-Americans to write to the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball organization to demand that the Dodgers give Al Campanis back his job. Mr. Campanis is the white, front-office executive of the Dodgers who said something about "blacks not being able to float" when asked why there were so few African-Americans in managerial or executive positions in baseball.

Now honestly, I can't swim. And I don't see the connection between swimming and administrating any kind of organization. But I'm also smart enough to know that the firing of Mr. Campanis will not change any of the problems in our society that his fallacious reasoning has brought to our attention.
