FORT MILL, S.C. The Rev. Jerry Falwell fired another broadside
in the battle of video evangelists Thursday, then said he would
disengage from the "holy war" and concentrate on raising money to
keep PTL afloat.
Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker ended more than two months of
seclusion at their California estate to appear on back-to-back
segments of the "Nightline" television show.
On "Nightline" Wednesday night, the defrocked PTL founder said
he would swear on the Bible that Falwell tricked him out of the PTL
ministry and said that he might start a new one in California.
Falwell countered with an appearance Thursday on "Good Morning
America" to say he would not have made his charges Wednesday ...
