To see Sunnyland Slim is to see the blues in motion.

Slim is a most gentle craftsman, with his 79-year-old fingers floating across the keys like low clouds, his right hand showing special feeling for the high parts. Slim hears bass and percussion with the instinctive nod of his head and the tap of a foot.
