Richard L. Thomas is president and a director of First Chicago Corp. and its principal subsidiary, First National Bank of Chicago. He joined First Chicago in 1958, and was named the first general manager of First Chicago Corp. when it was formed in 1969. He is a member of the Executive Committee and a past president of the Economic Club in Chicago.

Like Mark Twain, Chicago can say that reports of its death as an international financial center have been greatly exaggerated.
