Article: New baseball cards bring high-tech look to popular tradition

More than 100 years after they were first introduced, baseball
cards have gone high tech.
New to the baseball card business, Major League Marketing of
Stamford, Conn., recently introduced "Sportsflics" cards, which
rapidly became popular with collectors.
Four photographs superimposed on the Sportsflics cards give the
players' pictures an animated look.
"The new cards are a very popular product across the country,"
said Larry Lambrecht, a spokesman for Major League Marketing. "It
appears that the younger collectors enjoy this card now, but it's
growing to all collectors as time goes by."
Topps, the longtime industry leader, has held exclusive rights
to major league baseball cards ...
