There ought to be some legal standard for what can be called a tag sale. A real tag sale is a great American tradition that also may be called a garage sale or a yard or lawn sale, but now there are imposters who are ruining tag sales for all of us.

The original idea was that, since once in about every 10 years the average American household accumulates a lot of things the owners no longer use but can't bring themselves to throw away, they have a friendly little sale on their front lawn, in their backyard or in their garage.
