Article: Italian olive oil is the choice for cooking - most of the time

Most Americans associate olive oil with Italy. Italy exports more olive oil than any other country, and its oils are probably the finest available. But there are quality olive oils imported from Greece, Spain and France, too. And California olive oil, though not as flavorful as the oils of Italy and France, is reasonably good and continues to show improvement.

However, Italian olive oil is pretty much the oil of choice because oils from other countries aren't readily available. And, except for one time, Italian olive oil has been my choice for cooking and salads.
