Time waits for no one - except legends.
The problem with being labeled a legend in your own time is the
repression it places on creative progress. Many rock 'n' roll
legends are known only for their frozen ropes: Mitch Ryder driving
out of the Motor City through the nut-bolt sweat of "Devil With a
Blue Dress On," the plummeting pathos of Etta James in "I'd Rather Go
Blind" and Keith Richards shadowboxing intuitive guitar licks with
Mick Taylor.
There is life after legendom.
