Article: George Segal's figures celebrate works of masters

Two very distinct concerns inform George Segal's new works at Richard Gray Gallery, 620 N. Michigan, through the end of this month. His familiar life-cast plaster figures in lonely environments are as poetic and quietly moving as ever.

In addition to these, however, Segal has made a number of astonishing mixed-media assemblages, which give free reign to his refined formal interests and his fascination with art of the past.
