This is the year of the Compact Disc player. As more people
discover that classical music sounds superior on CD, it will be
easier to find recordings from such small companies as Nimbus and
Denon.
Nimbus Records is noted for its meticulous attention to detail
and extraordinary musicianship. Headquartered in a castle in
Wyastone Leys, Monmouth, England, where most of its recording and
manufacturing takes place, Nimbus Records became widely available
this year through a distribution arrangement with A&M Records.
An excellent introduction to Nimbus is a collection of Sullivan
