Article: Orland Park fast growth to continue

Fast-growing Orland Park is one of the Chicago area's top home-building towns.

"We've issued 500 to 700 building permits for residential development every year for the last six years," said Ders Anderson, Orland Park's director of planning and economic development.

In the first 10 months of 1987, the village recorded 508 housing starts. In all of 1986, permits were issued for 655 housing units.

On the suburb's northwestern tip, ground has been broken for Crystal Tree, a $125 million golf-oriented, residential subdivision to be developed by Corley Real Estate Corp.
