During these sunny days and leisurely nights, we take our ease.
Mornings, we wake up by sipping Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.
We work on our tans, shop for just the right Hawaiian shirt, dawdle
over lunch under a palm tree. Post-siesta, we squeeze in a
scuba-diving lesson. Then it's off to a Caribbean dinner and a long,
late night of reggae music and dancing.
And we do it all in January, right here in Chicago.
This idyll is no wind-chill-induced hallucination. The only
iffy part is the daytime sunshine, but even the islands get a gray
day now and then. Everything else is out there waiting to warm you
up, starting with a cup of legendary Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.
