WILLEMSTAD, Curacao On the Caribbean isle of Curacao, Her Highness is a real swinger. Crowned Queen Emma in 1888, this centenarian never sleeps, serving her subjects by land and by sea day and night.

She's a pretty gal, under her arches of white lights spanning two waterfronts. Busy, too, swinging open to harbor traffic some 30 times a day. When she's closed, pedestrians scramble across her floating walkway to get from either side to the other of Curacao's capital, Willemstad.
