Jean Balukas entered her first Women's U.S. Open Pocket
Billiards championship at age 9. She finished seventh.
More than 100 titles later, the 28-year-old Balukas will make a
full-time assault on the Men's Professional Billiards Tour under the
sponsorship of Brunswick Billiards.
This is the second year on the tour for Balukas.
"The members allowed her to play as an honorary member and all
the tour stop officials welcome her competition," said Barry Dubow of
Brunswick Billiards.
Dubow said the tour stop at Pheasant Run in St. Charles has been
dropped this year and the closest appearance in the Midwest will be
the April 7-10 McDermott Masters in Troy, Mich.
