Neal Robinson has booked pop music acts at the Rosemont Horizon
and earns his living promoting sporting events for large corporate
sponsors. Now, it's time for a change of pace, so Robinson is
launching a classical music series at the Civic Center for the
Performing Arts' Civic Theatre, 20 N. Wacker.
Robinson's creation, the Great Artists Series, will come to life
at 8 p.m. Monday with pianist Abbey Simon. Remaining concerts in the
Monday night series are cellist Carlos Prieto, March 21; the
Symphony String Quartet (members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra
with a colleague, French horn player Dale Clevenger, as guest), April
11, and violinist Robert Portney with pianist Haskell Small, ...
