Article: Stamps are a testament to Welsh Bible creators

Britain on Tuesday will issue a set of stamps commemorating the
400th anniversary of the creation of the Welsh Bible.
Portrayed on the 18-pence stamp is Rector William Morgan, who
later became Bishop Morgan and translated the first complete Bible in
1588.
The 26-pence stamp shows William Salesbury, who translated the
new Testament into Welsh in 1567. The 31-pence stamp depicts Richard
Davies, who was instrumental in persuading Parliament in 1563 to pass
an act decreeing the translation of the Bible into Welsh.
The 34-pence stamp shows Bishop Richard Parry of St. Asaph,
editor of the revised version of the Welsh language Bible in 1620.
