Brian Robinson has gone from scoring leader at Libertyville to
spiritual leader at Evanston, and while faith alone hasn't gotten
Evanston to the Elite Eight, it probably hasn't hurt.
"He reads the Bible before every game," Evanston coach Mike Hart
said. "I'll take that man on my side every time."
Robinson, a 6-1 senior, was all-North Suburban conference at
Libertyville last year and averaged 18 points per game. He
transferred to Evanston, in part because he was active in the Faith
Temple Church in Evanston, and leads the team in prayer before every
game.
"We call him the prayer man," Evanston junior center Juvon
McGarry said.
