If I have left the impression that "racists" and Machine
politicians are the only people who insist on telling blacks what to
do politically, let me correct myself right now.
Much too often individuals and groups who consider themselves
liberal and far removed from racial exploitation share one common
tendency with the public enemies of racial progress, which is:
They would deny black people the right to determine the strategy
for their own liberation and they insist on choosing and controlling
black leaders.
