Evidence of Iranian involvement in the ongoing Kuwaiti jet hijacking episode surfaced Wednesday with reports from freed passengers that one of the terrorists boarded in Iran, where fresh weapons were supplied, and that their speech and patterns bore Iranian overtones.

Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Yasser Arafat charged flatly that Iran "is directly behind" the hijacking.
