There are many small Chicago museums that don't get the
attention they deserve, but that's not for want of interesting
exhibitions or activities.
The Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College, for
example, is a gem of a space.
Opening this weekend at the photo museum are three exhibitions
of prints: "Contemporary Photographs from Japan," "Yasuhiro Ishimoto:
Photographs" and "Marilyn Bridges: An Aerial Perspective."
"Contemporary Photographs from Japan," in the East and West
galleries, features 55 works by Naoya Hatakeyama, Koh Inose, Norio
Kobayashi, Hotaro Koyama, Hiroshi Osaka and Toshio Yamane. Subjects
include landscapes, still lifes and nudes captured in color ...
