The Fox River provides the scenic backdrop for Geneva, one of
Kane County's most charming towns.
Located 36 miles west of the Loop, Geneva is a popular choice
for house hunters looking for small-town charm. There are commuter
trains to Chicago and to jobs in the western suburbs.
"Geneva is definitly upscale," said Lucy Thelin, an agent with
Century 21 A. L. Allen & Sons in Geneva. "Homes here are attractive
and well-kept by the owners, and the styles widely vary," Thelin
said.
Like other Fox River towns, Geneva grew by becoming a commercial
hub for outlying areas. The city remains a retail center with many
