Article: Rental rehab tops off Buena Park boom

North Kenmore Avenue, long known as one of the toughest streets in the Buena Park neighborhood, is ready for reform.

A $7 million renovation project in the Buena Park Historic District is scheduled for completion this fall, capping a five-year rehab boom in the extreme southwest corner of the Uptown community.

Developer Charles Konkus, president of Exchange Development Corp., is working on nine buildings - seven on the 4200 and 4300 blocks of North Kenmore and two in the 4200 block of Sheridan.
