Karen Blixen's name has been briskly selling tourism to Kenya
since Hollywood turned her book Out of Africa into a hit movie three
years ago.
Peter Gravgaard, creator of the history-oriented Plantagenet
Tours, aims to expand the touristic reach of the woman who wrote
under the name Isak Dinesen with a "Karen Blixen Tour to Denmark and
Africa."
The Jan. 6-27 trip, according to Gravgaard, "will consist of
two contrasting experiences: (1) a visit to the Old World life of the
Danish aristocracy around the 1920s" in Copenhagen and other locales
in Denmark where Blixen lived before and after her years in Kenya,
"and (2) a visit to the Kenya of the first third of the 20th century
